My runes orthography is mostly based off of Stella’s orthography, but simplified and modified a bit. Note that I generally prefer angular runes but the font which I am using has some rounded runes. There is not much I am able to do about this because the other fonts offered on that website do not have all the runes I want (ᚡ and other dotted runes, for example).

Vowels

The schwa should be written with whatever vowel it would be if it was “stressed”. If that is not possible, use ᚢ. For example, the word “photograph” is written ᚠᛟᛏᛟᚸᚱᚫᚠ, not ᚠᛟᛏᚢᚸᚱᚫᚠ because the word “photo” is written and pronounced ᚠᛟᛏᛟ.

Spelling exceptions

Not every word is spelled exactly, however. There are some where I’ve decided to deviate from my own system.
